Join Alex and an amazing team of vendors for a one day floral design workshop at a beautiful new venue in the Niagara region. This workshop is designed for attendees to learn about sustainable mechanics, layered table styling, portfolio building, and intentional composition for editorial weddings. Attendees will learn to design seasonal arrangements in a collaborative styled-shoot setting, while keeping the group size very small and intimate.

Highlights of the Workshop Include:

  • The Experience: This workshop is suitable for all experience levels. Alex will provide instruction and demonstration for designing arrangements that will serve multiple purposes - a ceremony, accent areas like a bar and lounge, as well as a unique tablescape with fruit. Lessons will focus on talks about intentional design, styling, sustainable mechanics, and design principles, giving attendees both hands-on experience and professional imagery to elevate their portfolio

  • Floral Design: Learn design principles and the art of arranging flowers. Each participant will create a ceremony ground or urn arrangement (group design), a table meadow arrangement, and a mini arrangement. For the purposes of continued photography post-workshop, all arrangements will remain on site after attendees depart

  • Key Learning Outcomes: Master foam-free, sustainable mechanics using alternatives like AgraWool and Oshun pouches, understand spatial composition and proportion for large and low designs, build a professional-quality floral portfolio with styled shoot imagery, learn to design collaboratively and repurpose arrangements effectively, and strengthen understanding of colour theory, texture, and seasonal selections

  • Photography: Attendees will receive access to the photo gallery. Images may be used on website and socials for your portfolio, with credit

What’s Included: Instruction and demonstration from Alex of Forever Wildfield for a ceremony ground or urn arrangement (group design) and a table meadow arrangement (individual). All materials, tools and floral ingredients needed to create the arrangements. A workshop handbook with lessons. Q&A session. Lunch and refreshments. Professional photos.

Terms: All workshop ticket fees are non-refundable, but you may transfer your spot to another florist in the unfortunate event that you are not able to attend. Seats are limited for the workshop in order to keep an intimate setting for students. We reserve the right to cancel and reschedule any workshop with due notice. If this is the case, a full refund will be provided to the purchaser. There is no accommodations or transportation included in ticket rate.
